Jean was not the most sane of people in her mortal days, or at least so it seemed. Saint Jean found one of the Artifacts of Divine Rule in a field of her native Verraunt. To everyone else, this sword appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary rusty longsword but to her it was brilliant with Holy Light. Upon touching the sword, a brand was set upon the palm of her hand, but only she could see it. She managed to surmount many difficulties and sexual prejudice to become a Templar of Michael in the Church, and assigned protector of The Prince of Veraunt. She eventually became a sworn enemy of Rykeland and persued Valdemar through the Planes during his rise to divinity. While she was unable to prevent him from ascending, she still opposes him and all evil.
Evil provails so long as good men do nothing. Act, and the Gods will act with you. Do something each day to ensure that the world is a better place for you having lived in it. Saint Jean herself is but an agent of a a Higher Good and a Higher Law which transcends the Gods themselves, an absolute ethical and moral extreme to which even she must constantly strive to achieve.
Temples and Clergy
Temples to Saint Jean tend to be simple affairs outdoor altars and barrack shrines. Her priests wear armor even during rituals, covered by white robes. She also inherited the Ancient Order of the Templars, a group of Paladins once devoted to the Archangel Michael.
